Shades for Migraine – June 21

Over 1 billion people worldwide experience migraine disease.

Each year, on June 21st, a global awareness campaign encourages everyone to show support for those living with migraine.

Taking part is simple!

Step 1. Put on your shades on June 21st, Migraine Solidarity Day to show you care for people living with migraine disease.

Step 2. Take a photo of you in your sunglasses and don’t forget to get your friends, family and coworkers in on the fun.

Step 3. Post your photo on social media with the hashtag #ShadesForMigraine and challenge 3 friends to take part too!

Step 4. Watch your impact multiply!

It all started in 2017, when the Associate of Migraine Disorders created this global event to help spread awareness and compassion for those living with migraine disease.

Often, someone suffering from a migraine will utilize sunglasses or tinted lenses to address the sun and light sensitivity that is associated with migraine. Sunglasses and blue light blocking lenses can offer much needed relief from the pain.

In addition to pain relief due to sensitivity, blue light blocking lenses support eye health by impacting the amount of UV light and blue light that you are exposed to by the sun.

Considering how migraine is the third most common disease in the world, proactive approaches are required to provide the most relief.

By wearing BluTech lenses, migraine sufferers can experience reduced attacks, relief from headaches and visual eye strain associated with triggering light, while going about their day-to-day lives without the stress of not having a defense against an impending episode.

So go ahead! Get a pair of sunglasses or a pair of BluTech lenses and get ready for the 21st!
